Doctor Who: The Poison Sky and The Doctor's Daughter

Reasons why it is good to watch "The Poison Sky" with a five year old: When they set the Earth's atmosphere on fire, and you brain is thinking, "And they are all still breathing how?", the kid is cheering like he's just seen the coolest thing ever.

I thought "The Doctor's Daughter" was pretty cool, although...

...part of me was disappointed that the eponymous daughter wasn't Susan's mother. Just 'cause.

The episode had a few annoyances - I didn't think that the scene where the Hath dies rescuing Martha worked all that well, and David Tennant gets too many shouty bits, and I'm really left wondering where all the Doctor's moral outrage about genocide was during "The Runaway Bride", but Jenny kicks ass and Donna gets to be the brainy one, and I wouldn't at all mind seeing that particular Team TARDIS reunited.

I also saw the mid-season trailer, and all I can say is: I don't believe that you-know-who and you-know-who-else are actually coming back! And it looks like it might actually be pretty cool!

Eh, sometimes you have to put your disbelief on hold and just be entertained. Yup, I hope we see a wee bit more of Jenny.

(I love your "rubber science goes boing!" tag.)
